Add “er” or just “r” with one-syllable adjectives:

Fast-Faster
Stronger
Adjectives with two or more syllables, add: ‘more’:

CVC ended adjectives double the final letter before:

Fat-Fatter
Adjectives ended in “Y”, change ‘-Y’ to ‘I’:

There are some verbs that change completely and don’t follow the rules above:
